The past is something that we can't change, however it may effect our future and at worst, haunt us forever. A Silent Voice had me hooked with its mesmerizing graphic, amazing soundtracks and deep yet easy to understand storyline. I remember crying once when I saw the trailer and one more time when I watch the movie. Somehow, this movie resonate with me greatly.
The production team did a great job in projecting the feeling into the audiences' hearts and slip in some comedy elements to make it easier to digest and much more heartwarming.
This beautiful masterpiece taught me that as a human, it's impossible to live our lives without making any mistake. However, thanks to that we also have the ability to learn from our mistakes.
I would gladly recommend A Silent Voice for those who are struggling with their own inner battles, for those who are seeking for forgiveness and for those who just want to enjoy a beautiful art.
Definitely would rate this movie as 10 out of 10.

Synopsis: As a wild youth, elementary school student Shouya Ishida sought to beat boredom in the cruelest ways. When the deaf Shouko Nishimiya transfers into his class, Shouya and the rest of his class thoughtlessly bully her for fun. However, when her mother notifies the school, he is singled out and blamed for everything done to her. With Shouko transferring out of the school, Shouya is left at the mercy of his classmates. He is heartlessly ostracized all throughout elementary and middle school, while teachers turn a blind eye.
Now in his third year of high school, Shouya is still plagued by his wrongdoings as a young boy. Sincerely regretting his past actions, he sets out on a journey of redemption: to meet Shouko once more and make amends.
Koe no Katachi tells the heartwarming tale of Shouya's reunion with Shouko and his honest attempts to redeem himself, all while being continually haunted by the shadows of his past.
